'I was blown away... he's more than just Twilight': Lily Collins gushes over Taylor Lautner

Taylor Lautner was last week asked to pit his onscreen love and rumoured girlfriend  against Twilight co-star Kristin Stewart.

But he remained diplomatic, refusing to choose sides as the brunette beauties both play Snow White in different movies for opposing film studios.
Today it was Lily's turn to feel the heat in an interview for fashion store ASOS.

But the 22-year-old daughter of British singer Phil Collins was more forthcoming about the teen heart-throb.
She appears alongside the 19-year-old in their new thriller, Abduction.

When asked what it was like acting with him, she said: 'I was blown away.

'People know him from Twilight and see him as Jacob, but Jacob is not in this movie. I’ve heard him be compared to Tom Cruise – which is cool.'
Lily will play the titular character in Relativity's Brothers Grimm: Snow White alongside Julia Roberts who plays the Evil Queen.
Stewart, 21, will star in Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman alongside Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth.

Taylor was asked at the MTV Video Music Awards on Friday who he thought would play the better Snow White.

He replied: 'It's tough. I mean, my excuse is they're so different. I can root for them both.'

He added: 'Kristen's going to be cool and edgy and dark. It's gonna be something new for her, and I think that's really exciting.
'Lily's gonna be great too. And a completely different feel.'
The couple are thought to have become close while working on their movie last year.
Although they have confirmed not confirmed they are dating. they have been spotted together on a number of occasions off set - even coordinating their outfits on occasion.
Lily visited Taylor on the set of the new Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn, in British Columbia and the pair shared an intimate meal while both donning jeans and black leather jackets.
They also attended a Pittsburgh Steelers game while filming Abduction in the city, and have caught flights and shared a number of meals together.
The actress looks gorgeous on the cover of ASOS' latest magazine and inside wearing a variety of outfits.
The shoot took place in Montreal where she’s filming her new blockbuster.
She revealed that everyone on the set called her 'Snow'.
The fashionista also told the magazine that she chased down head Chanel designer Karl Lagerfield during the Met Ball, New York's 'Fashion Oscars' at the Metropolitan Museum.
'I heard talk at the table he was leaving and I hadn’t met him yet,' she said.
'So I grabbed the PR person, and remember sprinting through the Met Museum in my Chanel dress and huge Chanel shoes just to say hello to him.'.

She bears a striking resemblance to her mother Jill Tavelman - Collins's second wife whom he was reported to have dumped by fax in 1996, when Lily was only six.

Despite rarely seeing her 57-year-old father when she was growing up, she insists she does not harbour any resentment towards him.
She says: 'We're so close.
'Nothing makes me prouder than when someone tells me my dad's music has touched them.
'But I'm also proud to be doing my own thing.
'There were so many times I could have played on my name but I always steered away from it.
'Now I've realised the name Collins can open doors but it's up to me to keep them open.'

 It had barely begun and now Taylor Lautner's short-lived relationship with  is over.
According to US Weekly, the Abduction co-stars called it quits just one week before the September 15 premiere of their new film, Abduction.
The tabloid's website ran the report today, which conveniently happens to be the day the thriller was released nationwide in the US.
'It was a clean break that Taylor initiated,' a source says, explaining that the split actually occurred one week prior to the LA premiere and afterparty.

'At the Abduction party, it was awkward,' the source admits. 'They barely said a word to one another.'
Although it's been reported that the two actually engaged in a real-life romance, neither star nor their reps have actually confirmed the claim.
Still, the 19-year-old Twilight star has spoken kind words about his former co-star and love interest.

'You can feel some sort of chemistry or a connection when you are reading a script with someone for the first time,' he told Seventeen magazine, adding, 'And that was totally the case with Lily.'
Now that the star is nearly done promoting Abduction, he 'wants to be single for a while [so that] he can properly move on', says the insider.
Lautner has been hanging out with a different ex, Taylor Swift, recently, even going backstage at her LA concert August 28 after she gave him a shout-out at the show.
Regardless of who he dates next, the actor will certainly be busy in coming months: he'll start promoting the fourth Twilight Saga installment, Breaking Dawn: Part 1, in November.

The 22-year-old star is showing budding fashionista tendencies displaying a unique and eclectic sense of style as she shopped in Los Angeles this weekend.
The Snow White star donned a very 60s inspired ensemble as she browsed the Fairfax flea market in West Hollywood on Sunday with friends.

Invitations have been sent out to Bella and Edward's wedding in the fourth Twilight Saga trailer. But not everyone's happy about it...

Possible spoiler alert ahead for anyone who put their head in a paper bag before watching the trailer.
is the book in Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight series where things change in a big way for Bella. The pouty Miss gets married, goes on a tropical honeymoon and experiences a bed-breaking wedding night that leaves her with a little surprise. Not the nice ‘rose petals on your pillow’ type of surprise, but more the ‘impregnated with demon spawn that might kill you from the inside’ kind. Bummer.
Bella and Edward’s wedding invites get a mixed reaction in this trailer, Michael Sheen as Volturi leader Aro looks simultaneously chuffed and evil, like Simon Cowell watching a twelve year old belt out a Celine Dion song, Bella’s dad stares ponderously out of a window, and Jacob runs off in wolf-form to bother some squirrels. It’s a tense time for all concerned, Edward’s even lost the quiff to show he’s taking things seriously.

Lily Collins Reveals How ‘Mirror Mirror’ Differs From Other Snow White Project

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Lily Collins takes on one of the most beloved fairytale characters ever in the upcoming “Mirror Mirror,” and she knows her journey as Snow White will be very different than Kristen Stewart’s, who plays the same princess in “Snow White & The Huntsman.”

“Our Snow White starts off as the fairytale princess we all know and love and then she progresses into a young woman and much of a fighter, but it’s not an edgy version of the story or a darker version. It’s very much a comedic adventure and I think the other one is a little darker,” Lily, who has seen some of the other ‘s script, told Access Hollywood guest correspondent Elizabeth Chambers during a recent set visit.

“The images of our films are very, very different,” Lily continued. “They’re both kind of untold stories, so you know they’re different in their own ways.”

Lily actually auditioned for both Snow White roles.

“I did read the other Snow White script,” she told Elizabeth, the wife of Lily’s co-star, Armie Hammer. “I auditioned for it, but I’ve been so excited for Kristen. I think that story is so different than ours and the girls are so different. She’s perfect for her version, and I’m really excited to be doing this one and I think they have totally different audiences.”
