Ronaldo is one of the world's most famous footballers and, thanks to his lucrative career, he's become a millionaire.
Which goes some way to explaining the huge ring on the engagement finger of his girlfriend Irina Shayk.
The Sport Illustrated model flashed the ring by de Grisogono, which was impossible to hide, as her boyfriend collected his Golden Boot award at a ceremony in Madrid.

Something to tell us: The model sported a huge ring on her left hand

Wearing a typically short mini dress that showed off her perfect pins and a pair of high heels, the 25-year-old also sported the eye catching sparkler on the third finger of her left hand.
Irina's ring appeared to be comprised a mound of diamonds, and obviously very expensive.
Her large bracelet and earrings were also by the Swiss jewellers.
In total jewellers quoted her de Grisgono items as worth over £100,000.
And the ring stole the limelight from her boyfriend, who was picking up the Golden Boot award for his outstanding goal tally last season in the Spanish La Liga.
The Portuguese international won today having been the top striker in all European leagues from 2010-2011.
He earned the Golden Boot award by breaking Hugo Sanchez's record with his 40 strikes.

 

In February this year Irina and Ronaldo were reported to be engaged after he apparently jetted all the way from Spain to New York to propose to the Russian beauty on Valentine's Day.
And reports in his native Portugal claimed the 25-year-old Russian may have been expecting their child.

Newspaper Correio da Manha said she had been seen sporting a small bump.
A friend of the ex-Manchester United star told the paper: 'Cristiano loves being a father.
Although they weren't planning having a baby so soon, the truth is that nothing makes him happier than his son.
'And the birth of the boy awakened Irina's desire to become a mother.

'They had been talking about marriage. Cristiano wanted something very special and romantic, and on Valentine's Day he travelled to New York to surprise Irina.

The Real Madrid star is already father to a baby boy.

Ronaldo became a father on June 17 when a mystery woman gave birth to Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.

His mother Dolores is helping raise the baby between Madrid and Portugal.

The identity of the baby's mother has never been revealed.
Shayk, bagged the honour of gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated's 2011 Swimsuit Issue, met Ronaldo last year after they modeled together for the Armani Exchange campaigns.
