Scotland is well-known for its constant wet weather, but Scarlett Johansson certainly wasn't aware of it.
The 26-year-old actress looked like she wanted to be anywhere but Scotland as she shot scenes for her latest film today.
Looking extremely miserable and cold, the U.S. star was seen wandering around the set wearing a large puffa coat and fur-trimmed boots.
Feeling gloomy: Scarlett Johansson looked miserable as she filmed scenes for her latest film Under the Skin in Scotland
Teaming a pair of unflattering stonewashed jeans with a brown fur coat and black high-heeled boots, the actress looks far from her usual glamorous (and blonde) self as she takes on the role of Laura - an alien sexual predator.
Not so glamorous now: The actress wears a
brunette wig to play the alien sexual predator and also dons some
unflattering stonewashed jeans
Keep me warm: Scarlett jumped into a white van that was on set to keep her warm in between takes
Even as she stood with the film crew, Scarlett found it hard to make conversation and resorted to a nearby white van, that was obviously being used for filming, to find some much-needed warmth.
Mean and moody: The 26-year-old was either
really annoyed or really good at staying in character as she took
pointers from director Jonathan Glazer
However that luxury soon came to an
end as she was beckoned by director of the film, Jonathan Glazer, who
clearly had a few pointers for the actress.
The London-born director - who rose to fame with his revolutionary work on Radiohead’s Street Spirit music video and Jamiroquai’s Multi-MTV award-winning video for Virtual Insanity - is obviously exploring Scotland with his latest project as Scarlett's character roams around Scotland, seducing men and harvesting their body parts.
FilmNation, which is producing
the film, released a statement saying that Scarlett will play 'an alien
on Earth, disguised as the perfect aesthetic form of a mesmerizing
woman'.The London-born director - who rose to fame with his revolutionary work on Radiohead’s Street Spirit music video and Jamiroquai’s Multi-MTV award-winning video for Virtual Insanity - is obviously exploring Scotland with his latest project as Scarlett's character roams around Scotland, seducing men and harvesting their body parts.
Take me back to LA: Scarlett was surrounded by many crew members but preferred to be on her own in the Highlands
It continued: 'She scours remote highways and desolate scenery looking to use her greatest weapon to snare human prey - her voracious sexuality.'
And this is exactly what Scarlett was pictured doing over the weekend.
Scouring the streets of Glasgow: Scarlett's
character is said to be an alien 'disguised as the perfect aesthetic
form of a mesmerizing woman'
Under The Skin is due to be released next year.
