Scarlett Johansson opens up to 'Vanity Fair.'
Vanity Fair’s December issue features what promises to be a
revealing cover profile of Scarlett Johansson, accompanied by stunning
Mario Sorrenti portraits. In a preview of Peter Biskind’s interview with
Johansson, VF.com quotes the actress as saying that her 2010 Broadway
debut performance in A View From the Bridge “completely took me over in every way. I’d spent four months bleeding all over the stage, completely exposed.”
Johansson took home a Best Featured Actress Tony Award and Theatre World Award for her performance as Catherine in Arthur Miller’s tragedy, co-starring with Liev Schreiber as Eddie Carbone, the older man obsessed with winning her love. “I felt I was forever changed by that experience,” Johansson said, adding, “It was unbelievable holding that Tony.”
The Vanity Fair cover story also includes Johansson’s reflections on the nude photos she e-mailed then-husband Ryan Reynolds, her current opinion of President Obama, her shared hypochondria with Woody Allen and more.
