Daniel Radcliffe began dropping hints about his forthcoming role as beat poet Allen Ginsberg last year, and now Elizabeth Olsen, fresh from the strong impression she made in Martha Marcy May Marlene is set to join him in the film.
Kill Your Darlings, directed by John Krokidas, is to focus on a real-life murder which saw beat writers Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs arrested in 1944. Olsen will play Edie Parker, Jack Kerouac’s then-girlfriend and later wife who worked to get the On the Road author out of prison. She’ll be acting opposite Boardwalk Empire’s Jack Huston as the young Kerouac and Chronicle’s Dane DeHaan as the young Burroughs.
Radcliffe can next be seen in chilling ghost story The Woman in Black due out on February 10th.
