Mickey Rourke and Sharon Stone have a Basic Instinct to flirt at pre-Bafta party

After making his comeback in The Wrestler, Mickey Rourke is clearly enjoying his moment in the spotlight.
And what better way to hit the headlines than by flirting up a storm with fellow Hollywood star Sharon Stone.
The legendary lothario was spotted attempting to woo the 50-year-old actress at a pre-Bafta Film Awards party at the Asprey store in London's Bond Street on Saturday night.

Rourke is up for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his critically-acclaimed performance in The Wrestler, while Stone is set to present a trophy at tonight's ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall.
Looking years younger in a little black dress, Stone attracted the attentions of Rourke after arriving at the glitzy bash on Saturday night.

 

Rourke was also dressed to the nines in a grey trousers suit, but keeping his own unique fashion sense by wearing carpet slippers.
While Rourke is thought to be single, Stone has been dating toyboy Chase Dreyfous since last summer.

Last month, Rourke's The Wrestler co-star Evan Rachel Wood, 21, angrily denied reports she had become romantically involved with the 56-year-old actor.
Wood, who plays his character's daughter in the film, told Rolling Stone magazine: 'I'm upset because I feel disrespected by the press and by Mr Rourke.
'Just because I'm single doesn't mean that you can take advantage of me. It's unfair that the performances might suffer because of all of these distractions. He's too old for me. Nothing ever happened and nothing ever will.'
Joining Rourke and Stone at the party were a host of British and Hollywood stars.

Widely tipped to win tonight were the stars of Slumdog Millionaire.
Indian model/actress Freida Pinto, who plays orphaned Latika, looked stunning in a little black dress and peep-toe heels.
Pinto is up against Adams, Penelope Cruz (Vicky Cristina Barcelona), Tilda Swinton (Burn After Reading) and Marisa Tomei (The Wrestler) for Best Supporting Actress.

Glamour: St Trinian's star Tasmin Edgerton opted for hot pink, while artist Sam Taylor Wood went for this season's must-have, a pant suit

Enjoying a St Trinian's reunion of sorts were the 2007 film's stars Talulah Riley, 23, and Tamsin Egerton, 20.
Blonde actress Egerton looked stunning in a hot pink mini-dress, while Riley showed off her slender figure in a quilted black dress and bright orange accessories - perhaps a tribute to the Bafta's sponsors Orange.
Appearing in public for the first time since her estranged husband Jay Jopling was photographed kissing Lily Allen was artist Sam Taylor Wood, who looked trendy in a black satin pant suit.
