Why'd you have to bite my arm so hard? Twilight's Kristen Stewart sports mysterious cast

Brooding vampire Kristen Stewart touched down at LAX sporting a not-so-fashionable blue accessory.

A cast peeked out from under the sleeve of her left arm as the 20-year-old hurriedly-walked through the busy airport surrounded by security.

Clad in jeans and a khaki hoodie, the successful actress kept her head down as she maneuvered the crowds minding not to bump her injured arm.

Ouch: It is not yet clear how the Twilight actress sustained the injury

No explanation has been offered by Stewart or her rep as to why it is necessary for her arm to be immobilised by the cast.

Stewart’s on and off screen love interest, Robert Pattinson, was not accompanying his girlfriend of over a year when she arrived in Los Angeles.

Speculation is swirling around the 20-year-old actress as to how this mysterious injury will affect her role as Bella Swan in the upcoming and final two-part instalment of the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn.

Filming for Breaking Dawn is currently under way in Vancouver and it is yet to be seen how the production crew with work around Stewart’s injury.

Stewart’s role as Bella has been expanded in Breaking Dawn as she is married to her vampire lover, Edward Cullen.

Her new official role as a vampire in the final two movies means she will be participating in the physically demanding fight scenes that play out during the final films.

While the fight scenes are sure to be riveting it is the love affair between Bella and Edward that fascinates their countless fans.

Despite his real life love affair with Stewart, Pattinson describes their on camera love scene as being uncomfortable.

The sexy vampire confesses to Us Magazine: ‘It’s always awkward, in a way, if you’re doing it with anybody. It’s like doing Twister.’
