Now that's a bombshell: Scarlett Johansson makes an explosive appearance in The New Avengers movie in a tight leather catsuit

She's battling to save the world from impending doom in her latest movie, but that doesn't meant that Scarlet Johansson can't be sexy.
The actress gets stuck into the action in the new comic book adventure, which follows a crack team of superheroes out to prevent the end of the earth, of course.
And she wears a devastatingly delectable outfit during explosive scenes - an all-in-one leather catsuit complete with a utility belt for all the real comic book geeks out there.

Scarlett stars as spy Natasha Romanoff, also known as Black Widow.
In new shots from the film set she is seen preparing for a scene with director Joss Whedon on a set that looks like the interior of a space ship.
Then in another still, she is seen standing in a debris-filled road in New York as a building blows up by a bus behind her.

The 26-year-old is the only female member of the Avengers, but not the only female character in the film and earlier this year, Scarlett said her character can more than measure up to her teammates.
She said: 'The other day we were doing this big reveal shot of all the Avengers. Thor has got his hammer, Cap’s got his shield, Hawkeye has his bow and arrow, and Hulk is huge. Then it pans over to me and I’ve got guns.
'Iron Man’s like, hovering above all of us, ready to go... I was like, "Joss… um… do I look OK holding these guns?" and he responded, "She’s a total bad-ass. She’s a killing machine".'

Meanwhile, other new shots include the first sighting of Samuel L. Jackson in action.
Jackson is seen being his usual bad-ass self as Nick Fury, director of the peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D., who recruits a superhero team - The Avengers - to save the world from destruction.
Fans have seen Jackson in this role before when he was first introduced in the two Iron Man films in 2008 and 2009, before reappearing in two of this year's biggest blockbusters, Thor and Captain America.

But that's hardly a surprise, as all four films criss-cross for the superheros to come together to make one big crime-fighting machine known as The Avengers.
And today, more scenes were released from the film, which boasts a star-studded cast including Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America and Chris Hemsworth as Thor.
The film also stars Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Mark Ruffalo as Hulk.

Fans also get their first glimpse of Loki, the Norse god of mischief and Thor's evil step-brother, played by Tom Hiddleston and who made his first appearance in this year's Thor movie.
And Hiddleston told fans recently that they will see a 'further advanced' Loki in The Avengers.
He said: 'You have to ask yourself the question: how pleasant an experience is it disappearing into a wormhole that has been created by some kind of super nuclear explosion of his own making? So I think by the time Loki shows up in The Avengers he's seen a few things.'

'At the beginning of The Avengers, he comes to earth to subjugate it and his idea is to rule the human race as their king. And like all the delusional autocrats of human history, he thinks this is a great idea because if everyone is busy worshipping him, there will be no wars so he will create some kind of world peace by ruling them as a tyrant.
But he is also kind of deluded in the fact that he thinks unlimited power will give him self respect so I haven't let go of the fact that he is still motivated by this terrible jealousy and kind of spiritual desolation.'
