Hailee Steinfeld on for Ender's Game

Actorly types have been lining up for Gavin Hood's adaptation of Ender's Game, with True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld set to join the project alongside fellow child actor Asa Butterfield (Hugo) and a rumoured Harrison Ford.
Steinfeld is up for the role of Petra Arkanian, a close ally of Ender (Butterfield) and one of few girls at the Battle school, where most of the story takes place. This could potentially be a new franchise
for the young actress, who famously lost out to Jennifer Lawrence on The Hunger Games.
Although Petra is a supporting role, the character becomes more and more integral to the plot as the story goes on. If the film does well, a hypothetical sequel would most likely feature Steinfeld more heavily. The novels were written by Orson Scott Card, and the fashion movies 2012 will be written and directed by Gavin Hood for a March 2013 release.
