Eva Green in talks for 300: Battle of Artemisia

 

It seems that 's 300 sequel has it's female lead, as enters talks for the follow-up...

We won't be dishonest, we haven't felt much excitement for the proposed 300 sequel, Battle of Artemisia, but now the very lovely and capable presence of Eva Green promises to inject some life into the project, as the actress enters talks for the film.
The role will be the titular part of Artemisia,
as the action of the film will occur concurrently with the events of the original. That film's bad guy was Xerxes, manipulated by Artemisia into starting a war against the unprepared Greek army led by Themistokles, a role yet to be cast (though Joel Edgerton was rumoured for a spell).
Zack Snyder was at the helm for the first film, but with everything going on, he's stepped down for Noam Murro to have a go this time around.
